The light movement away from big-headed drivers started with Phil Mickelson at the 2013 Masters. Callaway released a Big Bertha Mini 1.5 less than a month ago. It's a combination of a driver and a 3 wood that comes in two lofts (12-degree and 14-degree) and complete adjustability. The shaft is 1 1/2 inches shorter than a typical driver but has a face 35 percent larger than most 3 woods. It is designed for more accuracy with limited loss of distance off the tee and is gaining popularity among PGA Tour golfers.
