A little local knowledge is going a long way in the Tennessee Senior Women's Amateur.

Seven of the top 10 after the first round at Signal Mountain Golf and Country Club reside in the greater Chattanooga area.

Host club member Debbie Durham and Cleveland's Linda Mullins lead after shooting 5-over-par 76s in wet and windy conditions.

Defending champion Maggie Scott of Charleston is tied for third at 7 over with Lynna Rader of Johnson City. Lookout Mountain's Georgia McCravey, who won the tournament in 2009, is in fifth place at 9 over. Carlene Ryon of Hixson is sixth at 12 over, Crossville's Jean Roise it tied for seventh at 84 and Cleveland's Lisa Daubner is 10th at 86.

Mullins played even on the front nine at Signal Mountain and shot 5 over on the back. Durham birdied two holes but also had five bogeys and a double-bogey on the par-3 17th.
