University of Tennessee at Chattanooga senior Jordan Britt will begin competition in the U.S. Women's Amateur today at the Country Club of Charleston in South Carolina.

The former Signal Mountain High School golfer will be playing in her first USGA competition.

"It's already been so much fun," said Britt, who becomes the fourth UTC player to compete in this championship. "I know that it's the biggest tournament that I've ever played in."

Britt has been in communication with reigning U.S. Amateur champion Steven Fox who recently completed his eligibility at UTC. Britt is one of 156 golfers who will play two rounds of stroke play to qualify for the 64-golfer match-play tournament.

"I would love to make it all the way to Sunday, and maybe win," Britt said. "And then I could have a that Steven Fox moment.

"Some folks have joked that the school could go two-for-two."
