Chattanooga FC loses in NPSL final

The Chattanooga Football Club fell 3-1 to the New York Red Bulls U-23 team Saturday night in the National Premier Soccer League national final at Red Bull Arena in Harrison, N.J.

Chattanooga FC (15-3-2) took a 1-0 edge on a Luke Winter goal in the 15th minute. The All-NPSL player rebounded a Luis Trude shot that hit the crossbar.

New York (16-0-0) evened the match in the 23rd minute when Scott Thomsen scored.

The teams were tied until the 85th minute, when Joe Farrell scored for the Red Bulls. They later iced the match with CFC pushing forward when Sam Adjei netted a rebound goal.
