Ranked 23rd in NAIA Division II, the Tennessee Wesleyan women won 64-63 in Appalachian Athletic Conference basketball Saturday at Milligan, but the Milligan men salvaged a doubleheader split with a 95-83 win that left the visiting Bulldogs 12-9 overall and 8-4 in the AAC.

The Lady Bulldogs (14-3, 11-2) scored the last seven points of the game, Milligan's Kayla Kelly from Chattanooga missing a 3-point try at the buzzer. She had 14 points and 10 rebounds in defeat while Hayley Wyrick scored 24 points. Armeka Booker had 26 points and 15 rebounds and Cody Houck scored 15 points for TWC.

Andrew Scofield and Shannon Smith scored 21 and 19 points for the TWC men, and Dante Turnipseed had 16 points while Devante' Jenkins had 13 points and nine rebounds. Smith made seven assists.

• At Cleveland, Hollie German was 5-of-7 on 3-point shots in scoring 26 points in the Lee University women's 53-49 Gulf South Conference win over Shorter, and Jenna Adams had 14 points while Karley Miller made three steals.

Shorter won the men's game in overtime, 93-85, as Travis Jones and Jordan Jacks had 25 and 23 points with eight and 15 rebounds and Dedric Ware added 21 points. Jamal Worthington scored 19 and Chad Lee had 16 points and 12 rebounds for the Flames, and Cory Billingsley had 14 points and four assists.

• At Tennessee Temple, the Lady Crusaders won in their tournament, 73-58 over Lynchburg, as TaQuasha O'Neal scored 19 points, Angel Foster had 17 points and 13 rebounds, Amanda Rector contributed 17 points and five assists and Jess Salera grabbed 17 rebounds.

Florida College previously rallied to beat Hiwassee 81-67 despite 26 points, six 3-pointers and four steals from Haylee Morrow and 20 points with 5-of-7 3-shooting by Halei Lequire; Molly Lamb had 25 points, 16 rebounds and six assists for the winners.

• At Waleska, Ga., Dalton State's Roadrunners zoomed to 21-2 for their inaugural season with a 95-71 win at Reinhardt (11-10) despite a game-high 27 points by the Eagles' Quinton Wood.

Ricky Sears was 4-for-4 on 3-point shots and scored 21 for the Roadrunners, while Preston Earle and Demetrice Jacobs scored 13 each and LaDaris Green and Erich Allen added 12 apiece. Green had nine rebounds and Sean Tate was credited with five assists. DSC hosts Life University on Wednesday at the Northwest Georgia Trade and Convention Center.

• At Raleigh, N.C., McKenzie Edwards had 23 points and five assists as Meredith's Avenging Angels beat the Covenant women 62-56 in USA South play. Jessie Blankenship led Covenant with 15 points but was one rebound short of a 10th consecutive double-double.

The Covenant men lost 66-51 at home to USA South leader Maryville, which got 13 points and nine rebounds from Jamonee Byrd.

• At Atlanta, Sewanee won the women's game 64-52 but lost the men's matchup 82-69 in a Southern Athletic Association doubleheader at Oglethorpe. Paige Lowe and Jamie Chauvin scored 18 and 17 points in the female Tigers' first SAA victory of the season, Chauvin with four steals, and Kayla Sewell had 16 points and nine rebounds.

Jorden Williams scored 17 points for the Sewanee men (10-6, 3-3), while Leo Born scored 12 and Keshonn Carter and Seth Brown added 10 apieceagainst the strong Stormy Petrels (15-2, 5-1). Jordan Kinney and Alex Davis scored 22 and 20 points and Victor Rohlfs had 16 points and 12 rebounds for Oglethorpe.

• At Columbia, Tenn., the Cleveland State Lady Cougars won 75-72 in overtime Saturday in TCCAA play at Columbia State, after falling 77-66 at Jackson State on Friday. Jamesha Mosley had 14 points, 11 rebounds and three steals and Jara Gasper had 14 points, six steals and five assists in the loss for Cleveland State.
