After winning 14-1 on Friday at Greensboro College, the Covenant College baseball team completed a three-game USA South mauling with 29-4 and 13-4 victories Saturday.

Perry Rigby went 12-for-14 with eight RBIs in the series. He was 4-for-4 with two doubles and four RBIs in Saturday's first game, when the Scots (12-6, 9-3) had two nine-run innings and set a program record with the 29 runs. K.C. Simons also was 4-for-4 with four RBIs, adding three runs, while David Lockwood was 3-for-4 with a triple, a double, three RBIs and three runs and Scott Gillespie also scored three. Chris Rollins was 4-for-6 with two doubles and matched Paul Phillips with four runs and two RBIs.

Will Carlton was 4-for-5 with three RBIs and four runs in the series finale, when Z Arima and Rollins each had two RBIs and Lockwood and Gillespie each scored three times. Friday, Rigby was 4-for-4 and Simons was 3-for-4 with three RBIs and two runs each, while Phillips was 3-for-3 and scored three runs and Forrest Hunter was 2-for-3 with two RBIs and two runs. Micah Mabe and Jonah Paul combined to pitch a six-hitter with 10 strikeouts.

• Bryan 3-3, Tennessee Wesleyan 2-4: At Athens, the host Bulldogs won the final game of the Appalachian Athletic Conference weekend series with a run in the bottom of the last inning. Cody Heifnar was 2-for-3 with a homer and a double and Wes Minton was 2-for-2 for TWC (16-14-1, 7-4), while Grant Zawadzki drove in all three Bryan runs and Tyler Latham went 2-for-4 for the Lions (20-13, 8-4).

Latham homered and singled and Zawadzki was 2-for-3 with an RBI and a run in Bryan's win, when Kevin Roberts was 2-for-4 with a run and Hunter Tipton had an RBI and combined on six-hit pitching with closer Kenny Knudsen. Shell McCain had two hits and one of the Bulldogs' two seventh-inning RBIs.

• Shorter 6-3, Lee 3-4: At Rome, Ga., Lee's Flames rebounded to win the second game of the Gulf South Conference doubleheader as Andres Nelo swatted a three-run homer in the sixth inning. Nathan Wierzgac had two hits and Dustin Lawson got the pitching win with relief from Justin Bales and Grayson Bailey, whose only batter hit into a game-ending double play.

Derrick Pitts, who singled in the first run of game two, was 2-for-3 with a double and two walks in the opener for Lee (20-9, 8-6). Ringgold's Colton Cross was the winning pitcher for Shorter (8-19, 5-10). The teams are scheduled to play again today.

• Sewanee 13, Bard 3: At Winter Haven, Fla., the Tigers closed out their Florida trip with an 18-hit game, as Jack Rogers went 4-for-5 with three runs and Michael Walker went 4-for-6 with three RBIs and two runs. Gus Myer had two hits and three runs and Jackson Cooper and Grant Goodson each batted in two and scored two for Sewanee (8-12).

• Columbia State 1-13, Cleveland State 0-1: At Cleveland, the Chargers finished a three-game TCCAA sweep as Scooter Hightower edged Jake Wright in dueling four-hitters and Tyler Stewart followed with a two-hitter. Cole Baxley homered for the Cougars (13-15, 5-10).
