Chattanooga FC tops Pensacola City 1-0

The Chattanooga Football Club bounced back from Saturday's loss to the New Orleans Jesters with a 1-0 win over Pensacola City on Sunday.

John Carrier scored an unassisted goal in the 12th minute of play, and the CFC defense made the score hold up as keeper Greg Hartley earned the shutout in goal to help CFC improve to 2-1-1 in NPSL Southeast play.

The Chattanooga FC returns home Wednesday to host the Atlanta Silverbacks from the professional North American Soccer League in U.S. Open Cup action.

The winner of Wednesday's showdown will earn the right to host Major League Soccer's Real Salt Lake in the next round of the Open Cup.
