Golden returning to coach stars and other sports news

University of Tennessee at Chattanooga basketball legend Wayne Golden will be back in town Saturday to help coach a local group of eighth-grade standouts against a team from Atlanta. Golden's son, Caleb, will be playing in the City of Stars Middle School All-Star Game at 1 p.m. at McCallie School. Jonathan Adams from the McCallie staff will be the co-coach. The Goldens are from Austin, Texas, but are coming to help raise money for the local Boys to Men program that is sponsored by the Independent Youth Services Foundation. The foundation's executive director is Herbert "Book" McCray, Golden's close friend from high school in Louisville, Ky., and the UTC group that finished second in NCAA Division II in 1976 and won the 1977 national championship. Admission to Saturday's game costs $6.
