For the Chattanooga Football Club, there's no place like home.

Chattanooga FC played at Finley Stadium for the fifth time in six matches but the first time since May 30 and downed the Georgia Revolution 4-0 in front of 2,345 welcoming fans Tuesday night. The National Premier Soccer League made CFC 9-1 overall and 5-0 in the Southeast Conference.

The Revolution are 1-4-1.

"We're blessed to be able to play in front of this crowd every home game," CFC coach Bill Elliott said. "When our guys look up and see these guys like the Chattahooligans singing and dancing, they know they have to perform."

Chrispin Ochieng gave the fans something to cheer about early, scoring on an assist from Samuel Goni. Goni drew the attention of the Revolution defense and got the keeper out of position before sliding the ball to Ochieng, who put it away in the empty net.

CFC continued to create chances in the first half, firing several shots on goal before doubling its lead in the 35th minute. Jon Finlay scorched a low cross through the box and Goni scored for the 2-0 lead.

Leo De Smedt tallied the final goal of the half late, bending a direct free kick around the wall and into the lower left corner.

"When we got in position to score, we took our chances," Elliott said. "We took the extra pass to put the ball in the back of the net."

The second half began with more of the same, with Ochieng netting another early goal to tie with Luke Winter for the team lead at six goals. De Smedt sent a beautiful cross high into the box, and Ochieng controlled it with his chest to volley it in five minutes into the half.

"Our team is talented offensively, so we know if we try a lot to score, it will work," De Smedt said.

"We have the best support in the nation, and we know if we win every game, then we get to play at home in the playoffs," he added. "We are undefeated at home, and we know we have to show that we are good here."

CFC will visit the Knoxville Force on Saturday but will be back at Finley next Tuesday to face the Atlanta Silverbacks Reserves.
