Outdoors note

* Cousins reach rodeo nationals: Hunter Middle School students Sierra Holder and Bree Roark from Georgetown, Tenn., are second cousins and related also as national rodeo participants representing Georgia. Holder, 13, will compete next week in barrel racing and pole bending at the World's Largest Junior High School Rodeo in Lebanon, Tenn., and Roark, 11, also will be in the pole bending competition after winning that state junior high title in Perry, Ga. Their expertise also includes goat tying and breakaway roping. Both with dads who grew up as team ropers and tie-down ropers, the girls started in rodeo at the age of 4.
