Grace Academy's young volleyball team grew up a little more Monday night at Boyd-Buchanan.

CLEVELAND, Tenn. -- Both the East Hamiton and Walker Valley girls' soccer teams came out with nerves in the first half of their District 5-AAA semifinal match Monday.

Soddy-Daisy quarterback Hunter Maynor may have been unsung entering the 2014 high school season, but it's unlikely that he is being overlooked.

Storyline: The Red Raiders rake their show to Murfreesboro after a tough rivalry loss to McCallie. Baylor's offense never got going last week, and its defensive front will be tested this week against an Oakland offensive line that includes University of Tennessee commitments Kyle Oliver at TE and Jack Jones at OT.

Front-runner: McCallie (7-0, 3-0). The Blue Tornado have beat two previously unbeaten East/Middle region teams in Ensworth and Baylor.

Ooltewah was in command practically from start to finish Wednesday and defeated East Hamilton 3-0 in the championship match of the District 5-AAA high school volleyball tournament at Soddy-Daisy. Set scores were 25-10, 25-15, 25-13.

Signal Mountain running back Skye Wilson is through for the year after learning Monday that he has a torn ACL, a torn MCL and torn meniscus in his left knee.
