The last Friday of Tennessee's high school football regular season has numerous coaches changing their postgame rituals.

Storyline: The District 7-AA championship is on the line. Signal can take it with a win while Sequatchie would need to win and Grundy County beat Notre Dame to get it.

Storyline: This is playoff preparation between two ranked teams in different districts, but the same postseason Class 5A grouping.

It isn't all about district championships in Tennessee, some of which could be decided tonight although several won't be until next week.

How many more years are non-scholarship private schools that are in Tennessee's Division I with public schools going to stay, or be allowed to stay?

Storyline: The teams have three common opponents — each beat Pope John Paul II and McCallie and lost to Montgomery Bell Academy.

Boyd-Buchanan quarterback Jim Cardwell has added another talent to his repertoire. In addition to punting, passing, kicking, running and tackling, the Buccaneers senior can now be called snake-handler.
