RINGGOLD, Ga. — Kyle Carter once was seen as a hero in every part of America.

GAINESVILLE, Ga. -- Its brief lead gone and the mostly hostile standing-room-only crowd at Ivey Watson Field suddenly alive, the Ringgold High School baseball team did what it usually does when facing adversity.

RINGGOLD, Ga. -- The fans filling the visiting bleachers at Bill Womack Field rose to their feet as one, cheering their team on late in game two of the GHSA Class AAA first-round baseball playoff doubleheader Friday.2

Two of Tennessee's top high school softball programs will meet in a possible state-tournament preview Sunday when Murfreesboro Riverdale visits Soddy-Daisy at 2 p.m.

He may be the the most anonymous 1,000-yard rusher in the Chattanooga area, but Mark Fairbanks believes that soon will not be the case — and it has everything to with his team.
