Ben Smith has been named the wrestling coach at state power Bradley Central, Bears athletic director Turner Jackson confirmed this morning.

"He has been with us even when he was a student at UTC. He's an excellent coach and there will be very little transition," Jackson said. "This administration feels like he will do an excellent job."

Smith replaces Steve Logsdon, who resigned in mid-March after a lengthy and successful run that included 22 state championships including the 2010-2011 duals title.

"I don't think anybody can replace Steve Logsdon, but you know what? This program is in really good hands," Jackson said.
