High school standouts for Sept. 12

GOLF

Jake Keller, Red Bank: He took medalist honors with a 74 in the District 6-A/AA tournament at Moccasin Bend as the Lions finished third behind East Hamilton and Hixson.

Evan Bell, Polk County: He shot a 69 to win the District 5-A/AA tournament at Chatata Valley in Cleveland but the Wildcats finished third behind Sequoyah and McMinn Central.

David Weeks, Notre Dame: His 70 was good for District 7-A/AA medalist honors, and he led Notre Dame to the team title at the Willowbrook course in Manchester.

Sarah Dolmovich, Signal Mountain: She shot a 78 to lead her team to the 7-A/AA team championship.

Madison Balthrop, Boyd-Buchanan: Her 86 was good for medalist honors as the Lady Bucs took the 5-A/AA championship at Chatata Valley.

GIRLS' SOCCER

Christina Cook, Ooltewah: She scored all three of the Lady Owls' goals in a 3-0 victory over Hixson.

SOFTBALL

Taylor Hodges, Ridgeland: She knocked in the Lady Panthers' run in a 5-1 Region 7-AAA loss to Cartersville.

VOLLEYBALL

Loren Bennett, Ooltewah: In wins over Hixson and Signal Mountain, she contributed 30 assists, 18 digs and six kills.

Callie Hildebrand, Signal Mountain: She had nine kills and 14 digs to lead Signal Mountain's 2-0 win over Hixson.

Elizabeth Behrend, East Hamilton: She recorded 10 kills and seven aces in her team's 3-0 win over Cleveland.

Kristi Vaughn, Sonoraville: She had 16 kills and 17 assists as Sonoraville beat Chattooga and Adairsville.

Vanessa Silvers, Silverdale Baptist: She had nine kills and nine digs as the Lady Seahawks defeated Chattanooga Christian 3-1.

Sarah Holder, Gordon Lee: She had 12 kills, 10 digs and four aces in the Lady Trojans' 2-0 wins over Coahulla Creek and Darlington.
