High school standouts of March 16

Sarah Hundley, Chattanooga Christian: She struck out 18 as the Lady Chargers squeaked by Grundy County in softball, 1-0.

Destiny Haines, Lookout Valley: She had 13 strikeouts as the Lady Yellow Jackets edged Tyner 5-4.

Sydney Rogers, Polk County: In her first high school start, the freshman struck out four in a 7-3 win over Red Bank.

Allan Mocahbee, Ringgold: He homered and knocked in four runs in a 18-0 baseball pasting of Dalton.

Cole Ellis, Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe: He pitched a no-hitter in the first half of a doubleheader against East Ridge, striking out six and walking one in a 10-0 win.

Levi Scudgins, Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe: He gave up one hit and struck out 10 in the second half of a doubleheader against East Ridge, winning 10-0.

Brandon Robertson, Baylor: He had a huge day in a 12-2 win over Rabun Gap, striking out seven while hitting a home run and a double and driving in five runs.

Tanner Buchanan, McCallie: He went 2-for-3 with a run as the Blue Tornado fell to Station Camp, 5-3.

T.J. Binder, Ooltewah: His four runs and two RBIs helped lead the Owls past St. Benedict, 15-5.

Jonah Paul, Chattanooga Christian: He struck out 15 with two walks as the Chargers beat Lookout Valley 7-0.

C.J. Horton, Lookout Valley: He gave up no hits through six innings in the 7-0 loss to CCS.

Bryson Baker, Meigs County: He went 2-for 4 with a double in Meigs County's 6-2 loss to Central.

Beau Simmons, Chattanooga Christian: His goal and assist helped pace the Chargers past Whitehouse in boys' soccer, 3-0.

Katie Joyce, Notre Dame: Her 8-1 singles win and 8-2 doubles victory paced the Lady Irish tennis team past Boyd-Buchanan, 7-2.

Charles Jabaley, Notre Dame: He won 8-0 in singles and 8-1 in doubles during the Fighting Irish's 7-2 tennis win over Boyd-Buchanan.

Brier Davis, McCallie: He scored four goals as the Blue Tornado lacrosse team beat Farragut 15-3.
