Jacob Revis had already decided where he wanted to play college football when he arrived at Furman's Paladin Stadium on Saturday. He let the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga coaches know of his commitment to the Mocs following their 31-10 win over the Paladins.

"I really decided on Monday, but I wanted to tell them in person," said Revis, a four-year starter at Rhea County High School.

The younger brother of Mocs junior right guard Kevin Revis, the preseason Class 6A all-state pick got his chance near the locker room after the game, just as Mocs quarterback Jacob Huesman did two years ago.

"I thought about it a lot since I've had the offer, and I just decided it was time to make a decision," Revis said. "It's a great city, it feels like home and I like the direction the program's going. It was something else doing it at the Furman game."

Rated a two-star prospect by Rivals.com, and a member of the Times Free Press' 2012 Dynamite Dozen, the 6-foot-2, 290-pound offensive lineman picked UTC over Navy and Jacksonville State. He could play center or guard for the Mocs.

Revis is the third offensive lineman to commit to the Mocs, joining Brentwood High School's Logan Teichmann and Hunter Townson of Ider (Ala.) High School. UTC also has a commitment from quarterback Alejandro Bennifield of Lovejoy (Ga.) High School.
