Central High School has named Eastern Michigan University assistant KiJuan Ware as its new head football coach. Ware served as secondary coach at EMU last season, and prior to that he worked for two years as the offensive coordinator at Western Illinois University.

"He was our top candidate all along but it has taken us a while to get his paperwork in order to make it official," Central athletic director Gary Fomby said. "You can see by his credentials that he is a top-notch coach and we're very excited to have him. We believe he's the man who will take our program to the next level."

Ware takes over for John Allen, who resigned at the end of last season.
