Boyd-Buchanan senior Jack Keebler has committed to sign a football scholarship with the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.

A 6-foot-2, 225-pound tight end and defensive end for the Bucs, Keebler is versatile enough to play either side of the ball at the next level. He was was one of more than 300 players at UTC's summer camp last weekend and becomes the second commitment for the 2016 signing class, joining Farragut two-way lineman Cole Strange (6-5, 255). He chose the Mocs over offers from Davidson and East Tennessee State University.

"It's a great football program they're building and I wanted to be a part of it," Keebler said. "Plus it's close to home. I decided to go ahead and announce it so I could focus on our season.

"I loved it last weekend and just felt that's where I should go. It just felt like the right place for me."
