MURFREESBORO, Tennn. -- Jacobi Lynn scored six of her 18 points late in the fourth quarter to propel McMinn Central past Grainger, 49-44, in a TSSAA Class AA girls' basketball state semifinal Saturday night at Middle Tennessee State's Murphy Center.

McMinn Central (30-5) led 27-18 at halftime but had to scramble late to advance to its first state final since winning a Class AA title in 2011.

Grainger sophomore guard Karli Combs' steal and layup tied the game at 43 with less than two minutes to play, before Lynn reeled off six consecutive points to preserve the victory.
