Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe athletic director and head football coach Todd Windham announced that he is resigning both posts.

Windham, who was 30-51 in eight seasons at LFO following stints as head coach at Hixson and Lookout Valley, informed his football players early this morning that he is stepping down to spend more time concentrating on his family and his professional future.

"I've wrestled for some time with where I want to go in terms of football," he said. "I have a son getting ready to start high school and one that is about to graduate and at 17 years as a head coach I have gotten to the point where my priorities have changed. I've missed so many things. It's time to step back and let someone else have the opportunity to lead the program."
