With the threat of inclement weather increasing as the weekend draws nearer, nine high school football games throughout the Chattanooga area have been rescheduled for tonight.
Eight of those are first-round playoff games in Tennessee, while the other is a regular-season finale in northwest Georgia.

Bradley Central was the first to make the call, moving its playoff game against Murfreesboro Riverdale up one day. The Bears also changed the venue to Finley Stadium, giving up a home game because of the condition of its field after several weeks of use in muddy conditions.
The tri-state area has had games affected by weather three of the past six weeks, with many games delayed for long periods because of lightning. According to weather.com, there is a 30 percent chance of rain this evening that continually climbs before reaching 80 percent by Friday evening, with the forecast calling for evening thunderstorms.
Other TSSAA playoff games involving area teams that have been moved to tonight: Clinton at Ooltewah, Campbell County at Rhea County and Soddy-Daisy at Clinton in Class 5A; Eagleville at top-ranked Boyd-Buchanan in 2A; Pope John Paul II at McCallie in Division II-AA; and Mt. Pleasant at South Pittsburg and Grace Academy at Fayetteville in 1A.
In Georgia, Gordon Lee at Dade County, a Region 7-AA game, will also kick off tonight.
That leaves 12 TSSAA playoff games involving area teams plus five games involving area teams in the Alabama playoffs to be played on Friday.
