Baylor's Ryan Parker and East Ridge's Traneil Moore were named TSSAA Mr. Football Award winners today. The awards, sponsored and hosted by the Tennessee Titans, goes to the top back and lineman in each of the state's classifications.

Parker was named Division II-AA Lineman of the Year and Moore won Class 3A Back of the Year honors. Moore is the first player from East Ridge High to win the Mr. Football award.

Parker had 140 total tackles in the regular season, including 95 solos, 35 for loss and eight sacks. He also blocked two punts and ran for 541 yards and 12 touchdowns, helping the Red Raiders reach the state semifinals.

Only a junior, Moore wasn't even the Pioneers starting running back until the second game of the season but ran for 1,464 yards, averaging 9.1 per carry, with 18 touchdowns in nine regular-season games.

Boyd-Buchanan's Jake Harden was also one of two finalists for Class 2A Lineman of the Year but did not win.
