East Ridge High School's Raymond James Stadium, condemned by East Ridge city officials on Friday, is beyond repair.

Dr. Lee McDade, assistant superintendent for Hamilton County Schools, announced the decision after reviewing recommendations from a survey by structural engineers earlier this week.

"Structural engineers have determined that the condition of the East Ridge High School stadium has deteriorated beyond the point at which remediation and renovation is possible and still be economically feasible," he said.

The engineers said further that the stadium should not be occupied and should be demolished.
