Chattanooga's McCallie School on Wednesday released a four-and-a-half-minute music video that taunts cross-town rival Baylor with lines like "Your team is so broke, duct tape couldn't fix it."
As of this morning, the video, which was produced by students at the private prep school, had been viewed more than 200,000 times.
The video was shared on USA Today's For The Win blog, CBS News and other national outlets. Much like Baylor, a rival private school on the other side of the Tennessee River from McCallie, USA Today took a dim view of the video, running it with the headline, "Preppy boarding school makes insufferable hype video before rivalry game."
The video changes the lyrics to the song "Run This Town" by Jay-Z and Rihanna to reflect the apparent view of the McCallie student body that Baylor will be easily beat in Friday's game.
Baylor and McCallie face one another tonight at 7:30 p.m. at Baylor. The Chattanooga Times Free Press will cover the historic rivalry in real time.
