Gordon Central High School senior shooting guard Jonathon Nesbitt has signed enrollment papers to continue his basketball career with Georgia Northwestern Technical College.
"Ever since I started playing basketball, I've wanted to play in college and go as far as I could," the 5-foot-9 Nesbitt said in a GNTC release. "It's a game I love and it's something I'm glad I'll get to continue to do."
Also a golfer and track athlete for Gordon Central, he averaged 11 points, six assists and five-plus rebounds a game this past basketball season.
"Jonathon is a hard-nosed kid," said Gordon Central coach Ray Tucker, a frequent supplier of talent for the Bobcats. "He plays really hard, shoots the basketball extremely well, and he can get himself in a position to shoot. Plus, he's a really fine young man that comes from a great family. He's an A student that's involved in all sorts of things outside of basketball."
