Baylor, Cleveland, McCallie lead all-state boys' soccer picks

Eleven area boys' soccer players were honored by being selected to the Tennessee High School Soccer Coaches Association all-state team released this week, including three schools with multiple selections.

McCallie forward Drew Viscomi, who has committed to Northwestern, and midfielder Will McGregor were selected to the Division II-AA team, along with Baylor forward Sam Stewart and defender Jackson Campbell. Viscomi finished the season with 29 goals and seven assists, while McGregor had eight goals and eight assists. Stewart led the Red Raiders with 10 goals.

Cleveland had two players make the Class AAA team: midfielder Jonathan Collins, a Lee University signee, and forward Chris Pistrang. McMinn County's Aaron Rucker and Ooltewah defender Angel Santiago were also chosen in AAA.

There were three area selections to the A/AA team: Notre Dame forward Michael Quatrano, who scored 29 goals for the Irish; Boyd-Buchanan midfielder John Beasley, a Lee University signee who had 24 assists; and Chattanooga Christian forward Will Patton.

Viscomi, Campbell and Quatrano were also selected to the Tennessee Sports Writers Association's all-state soccer team, as reported earlier this week.
