SODDY-DAISY (2-4, 1-2) at WALKER VALLEY (4-2, 1-1)
Storyline: There are two concerns at Walker Valley entering this Region 4-5A matchup: Can the Mustangs put last week's victory over Cleveland behind them, and is Justin Cooke going to be back for Soddy-Daisy? Reports from Soddy-Daisy earlier this week were that though the senior QB, recovering from a knee injury, has been practicing he had not yet received a doctor's clearance. There is definite good news for the Men of Troy, however, with word that Ty Boeck, the team's most versatile athlete, who has been dealing with an ankle injury, will be back. If Cooke also returns, Boeck will likely line up at times as a WR, at TE and possibly in the backfield. If Cooke is still sidelined, Boeck may return to play QB. Soddy-Daisy, meanwhile, has spent the week working on plans to slow the Mustangs' multifaceted offense led by QB Kolten Gibson, who last week amassed 512 yards of total offense. He and his cohorts took full advantage of seven turnovers rung up last week by their defensive mates.
