Bradley Central quarterback Cole Copeland has added two more school records to his tally, bringing the number now to nine.

Copeland, who has committed to the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, now has 8,279 total offensive yards and 89 touchdowns, breaking records that previously belonged to brother Bryce, who started four years at Bradley (2009-12). Bryce had 8,204 yards and 85 TDs in 43 games for the Bears.

The younger Copeland currently has 27 starts.

The brothers hold 16 offensive records at Bradley. The next two Cole may take from Bryce are career attempts (820; Cole has 757) and passing yards (6,474; Cole has 6,219).

Central's Curtis has fifth offer

McClendon Curtis, Central High's big senior lineman who hadn't played football in a couple of years, now has five scholarship offers on the table. Georgia Southern on Wednesday became No. 5 and joins Appalachian State, Middle Tennessee State, Austin Peay and UTC.

"He gets better every week. He's 10 times better than he was this summer and 10 times better than opening week," Central coach Cortney Braswell said.

Curtis is a 6-foot-8 tackle who has dropped from 320 pounds to start the season to 295 pounds. He transferred to Central last year.

"He's a big man that can run and he doesn't get tired. He's a raw talent but a big guy that can run a 5-flat 40," Braswell said. "The big thing with McClendon is that he goes to a school that has the time to invest in him as he learns the game."

Tyner/Marion game moved

The date and location for next week's Region 3-2A showdown between Marion County and Tyner have been changed. The visitors' bleachers at Tyner's football stadium were condemned and torn down several months ago and have not yet been rebuilt.

Because of that, and with the anticipation of a large crowd traveling to support Marion, the Tyner administration decided to move the game to Finley Stadium and play it on Thursday at 8 p.m.

"We know Marion brings a big crowd and we just wouldn't have any place to put all the fans, so this was really our best option," Tyner coach and athletic director Wayne Turner said. "It should add a little something extra for the kids from both teams to get to play at Finley Stadium, too."

Super observance

As already has been reported, former Super Bowl players and Baylor School alumni Blake Moore and Charles Hannah will be back on campus today and tonight as part of the NFL's "On the Fifty" campaign to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Super Bowl.

The day will begin at 9:45 a.m. with the two former Red Raiders presenting commemorative Super Bowl trophies to this year's senior captains at a school assembly. They will make a halftime appearance with school athletic director Thad Lepcio.

Hannah is a 1973 Baylor graduate who became an All-SEC offensive lineman at Alabama and had a 12-year NFL career that included starting for the Los Angeles Raiders in their 1983 Super Bowl victory. Moore is a 1976 Baylor graduate who starred at Wooster College and played center, guard and tackle for the Cincinnati Bengals for four seasons, including the 1982 team that lost in the Super Bowl to the San Francisco 49ers. He played two years for Green Bay.
