Ten Chattanooga-area athletes made the Tennessee Sports Writers Association's all-state tennis teams for 2017.

The presence was most dominant in Division II-AA girls' singles, where three of the four spots were filled by area players: Baylor's Drew Hawkins and Lindy McBrayer plus Maddox Bandy of GPS. In DII-AA girls' doubles, Lauren Carelli and Lily Mooney represented Baylor. Carelli and Hawkins were also all-state choices last year.

In DII-A girls' singles, St. Andrews-Sewanee's Ester Yang was honored.

On the boys' side, McCallie's Ryan Crump and Charlie Thel made the team for II-AA doubles, while Baylor's Cooper Long was in for II-AA singles.

Red Bank's Daniel Cox was the lone area choice from a public school, making the lineup in A/AA singles.
