Twenty local athletes named track all state

A total of 20 local athletes have been named to the Tennessee Sports Writers Association all-state track & field team. In Class AAA Bradley Central's Spencer Goode (shot put) is joined by Cleveland's Keegan Jones (long jump), Benjedi Casseus (110-meter hurdles), Tiyanna Johnson (100-meter hurdles), Walker Valley's Zeke Westfield (110-meter hurdles) and Ooltewah's Krystal Starling (shot put).

In Class A/AA Brainerd's Joseph Norwood earned a spot by winning the state title in the long jump and is joined by Arts & Sciences' Brevin Sims (110-meter hurdles, 300-meter hurdles) and Lennex Walker (long jump, triple jump, 100-meter hurdles, 300-meter hurdles, pentathlon), as well as Red Bank's Kedrick and Kendrick Wilbanks (100 meters), Signal Mountain's Thomas Porter (1600 meters) and Camryn Bowman (shot put, discus) and Tyner's Alexis Wilson (100 meters).

McCallie's Hakim McMorris, who was named all-state in the triple jump, 300-meter hurdles and decathlon, is joined on the Division II list by Baylor's Rachel Smith (pole vault), Carmen Ross (pole vault), JuToreyia Willis (triple jump), Kayla Hayes (300-meter hurdles) and Makayla Packer (100 meters).
