Rhea County High School and the Dayton Coffee Shop are holding a fundraiser for Eagles baseball player Cameron Travis on Saturday at the restaurant at 280 2nd Ave. in Dayton, beginning at 5 p.m.

A senior and two-year starter for the high school, Travis is scheduled for open-heart surgery Dec. 20 at Duke University Hospital, where a new procedure will be used to reconstruct his aortic valve in correcting a congenital condition.

Saturday his teammates will host a "celebrity serve," and in addition to the tips they make waiting tables, Dayton Coffee Shop Kim Datson is donating all sales from the food, according to coach Rusty Ray.

For more information or to add to the fund without attending, call Ray at 423-290-6099.
