Withrow, Lookouts win again, 7-3

JACKSON, Tenn. - Chris Withrow lived up to his billing as one of the top pitching prospects in the Los Angeles Dodgers organization in leading Chattanooga to a season-high seventh consecutive victory Thursday night, 7-3 over the Jackson Generals.

The Lookouts are 7-1 in the second half of the Southern League season.

In six scoreless innings, Withrow allowed just two hits while striking out eight.

Alfredo Silverio got the Lookouts off to a quick start by opening the game with a home run to left field. Wilberto Ortiz homered to left in the second inning to make it 2-0. Chattanooga entered the ninth up 4-2 and got plenty of insurance when Hector Gimenez, Brad Coon and Travis Denker drove in runs.

Game four of the six-game series in Jackson is tonight at 8:05 EDT. Will Savage (8-2, 3.66 ERA) is scheduled to start on the mound for the Lookouts, with Andrew Carraway (5-1, 2.90) scheduled for the Generals.
