JACKSON, Tenn. - Chattanooga defeated the Jackson Generals 5-2 in Southern League baseball Saturday night, giving the Lookouts eight wins in nine games.
Ivan Ochoa's single to center field in the sixth inning scored Travis Denker and Brad Coon to break a 2-2 tie, and the Lookouts (8-2) made it 5-2 in the seventh inning when Denker's single to right scored Hector Gimenez. Jackson had grabbed a 2-1 lead in the first inning on Vincent Catricala's two-run home run to left.
Game six of the six-game series at Pringle Park is tonight at 7:05 EDT. Wilkin De La Rosa (1-1, 5.40 ERA) is scheduled to start on the mound for the Lookouts, with Tom Wilhelmsen (2-3, 4.75) scheduled for the Generals.
