Ex-Georgia receivers Durham, Green sign NFL deals

Former Georgia receivers Kris Durham and A.J. Green didn't take long to sign with their respective NFL teams.

Durham, a fourth-round selection of the Seattle Seahawks, signed a four-year contract worth $2.504 million. His deal was finalized before Thursday afternoon's practice, which was his second with the team.

"It's definitely nice, and it's definitely a blessing to be out here with the opportunity to compete," the former Calhoun (Ga.) High standout said Thursday night. "They gave me a great opportunity and took a chance on me."

Durham was the 12th receiver selected in April's draft and went 107th overall.

Green, who was the first receiver taken and went fourth overall, signed a four-year, $19.6-million contract with the Cincinnati Bengals. So will Green be buying dinner the next time Durham sees him?

"Actually I probably owe him a little bit, because him being out last year probably helped me in the long run," Durham said. "That's just a joke. I'm very excited for A.J. He definitely deserves it, and I know he will go out there and do great things for Cincinnati."
