Lookouts edge Braves 3-2 behind Savage

PEARL, Miss. - The Chattanooga Lookouts won their fourth consecutive Southern League baseball game Friday night, 3-2 over the Mississippi Braves.

Chattanooga improved to 30-32 but was eliminated from the first-half race with Tennessee's win at Carolina.

Will Savage improved his pitching record to 7-2 for the Lookouts, who gave him the support he needed with a three-run first inning. Chattanooga opened the game with an Alfredo Silverio infield hit and a Brad Coon double to right field, and Corey Smith and Jaime Pedroza later collected RBI singles.

Game three of a five-game series is tonight at 7:05 EDT. David Pfeiffer (3-1, 3.20 ERA) is the scheduled starting pitcher for the Lookouts, with Brett Oberholtzer (3-6, 4.63) scheduled for the Braves.

• Lookouts starting pitcher Michael Antonini (4-7, 4.41) was added Friday to the North Division roster of the Southern League All-Star Game.
