Chattanooga's road opener was spoiled Wednesday when Tennessee's Rafael Lopez doubled to right in the sixth inning to score Kris Bryant and Dustin Geiger, with Lopez then scoring on a throwing error by Lookouts first baseman O'Koyea Dickson. Tennessee finished with a 3-1 win.
Chattanooga committed four errors in the game. The Lookouts (2-4) had taken a 1-0 lead in the fourth when Darnell Sweeney opened with a single to center and scored on a Scott Schebler ground out.
Game two of a five-game series at Tennessee is this morning at 11:30.
Tyson Brummett is scheduled to make his debut for the Lookouts, while the Smokies had not named a starter as of Wednesday night.
