Lookouts edge Suns 1-0 on one-hitter

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Chattanooga Lookouts continued their win streak at the expense of the Jacksonville Suns with a 1-0 victory Thursday night.

Pitching was expected to be Chattanooga's strength, and that was reflected by Aaron Miller, Red Patterson and Shawn Tolleson combining to one-hit Jacksonville. Miller worked five innings, allowing a second-inning single to right field and racking up 10 strikeouts.

Kyle Russell's two-out home run to right in the fourth inning would be all the offense the Lookouts (4-4) would need. Russell's homer was their second and final hit.

Game four of a five-game series in Jacksonville is tonight at 7:05. Matt Magill (0-0, 0.00 ERA) is the scheduled starting pitcher for the Lookouts, with Graham Taylor (0-0, 3.00) listed for the Suns.
