Chattanooga Lookouts top Smokies 7-6

Chattanooga relief pitcher Steven Ames struck out Rebel Ridling with runners on first and second to preserve the first win in three tries for the Lookouts (8-10) at Smokies Park.

Chattanooga trailed 3-1 entering the third inning, when J.T. Wise had an RBI double to left and then scored on a Brian Cavazos-Galvez sacrifice to tie the game. In the fourth inning, Nick Buss had a double to center that scored Rafael Ynoa to put Chattanooga ahead to stay at 4-3. Ynoa wound up 4-for-5 with two doubles, two RBIs and two runs scored.

Game four of a five-game series at Tennessee is tonight at 7:15.

Aarom Miller (1-1, 3.00) is scheduled to start for the Lookouts, with Dallas Beeler (0-0, 1.08) scheduled for the Smokies.
