Former University of Tennessee at Chattanooga quarterback B.J. Coleman was selected by the Green Bay Packers in the seventh round of the NFL Draft today.

After a wait of nearly seven hours, his name was called after the Packers used the 243rd pick to select him.

Coleman watched the draft at his parents' house in Chattanooga with some family and friends, including former teammates Joel Bradford and Sloan Allison.

The TVs in the house were on when the fourth round began at noon and then the waiting began. Coleman bounced around to different rooms in the house and watched most of the seventh and final round in the basement TV room which is filled with pictures and memorabilia from his career, from the McCallie days to Tennessee to UTC.

Just when it looked like he might have to go the free-agent route, the Packers called.
