Suns complete sweep of Lookouts

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Suns won 5-1 on Thursday to complete a five-game Southern League sweep of the Chattanooga Lookouts.

Suns starting pitcher Andrew Heaney had a successful Class AA debut by allowing three hits in six scoreless innings. The Suns were up 1-0 entering the seventh inning, when Mark Canha’s bases-loaded triple to right field broke the game open.

Angelo Songco’s home run to right in the eighth inning was the only score for the Lookouts, who lost for the 17th time in 21 games and fell to 14-25.

The Lookouts open a five-game series in Montgomery tonight at 8:05 EDT. Andres Santiago (3-10, 4.71 ERA) is the scheduled starting pitcher for Chattanooga, with Victor Mateo (4-9, 5.08) scheduled for the Biscuits.
