KODAK, Tenn. -- The Chattanooga Lookouts avoided being swept for the third consecutive road series by taking a 6-4 win Saturday night over the Tennessee Smokies.

Ross Stripling (6-3) allowed only one hit and struck out five batters in six innings, and Brian Cavazos-Galvez was 2-for-5 with two runs scored for the Lookouts.

Joc Pederson singled in Matt Wallach, who had led off with a single, with the game's first run in the top of the sixth, and a three-run seventh that began with a Cavazos-Galvez double made it 4-0. J.T. Wise homered for Chattanooga in a two-run eighth, ahead of a three-run Smokies outburst in the bottom of the inning.

The Lookouts open a five-game home series against Jacksonville at 2:15 p.m. today. Duke von Schamann (3-4, 4.92) is scheduled to start on the mound for the Lookouts.
