The Tennessee Smokies already have clinched the Southern League's North Division second-half title, but that hasn't kept them from continuing to beat up on the Chattanooga Lookouts.
Tennessee continued to spoil Chattanooga's final homestand of the season with a 12-1 rout Friday night at AT&T Field. The Smokies scored eight runs in the first two innings in improving to 40-26 in the second half, while dropping Chattanooga to 23-43.
The Lookouts are 13-35 since starting the second half 10-8.
Justin Bour's two-run home run to left field in the first inning put Tennessee up 2-0, and he accounted for one of the six RBIs in the second for the Smokies. Arismendy Alcantara had a two-run single to center in the second, while Christian Villanueva had a two-run double to center and Brett Jackson added an RBI double to left.
The Smokies and Lookouts will play again tonight at 7:15 and Sunday night at 6:15, with fireworks following each game.
