Chattanooga Lookouts fall 10-9 in 13 innings

PENSACOLA, Fla. - Luis Durango walked with two outs in the bottom of the 13th inning, took third on a single to right field by Bryson Smith and scored on a wild pitch by Luis Vasquez to give the Pensacola Blue Wahoos a 10-9 Southern League baseball victory over Chattanooga.

Pensacola jumped to a 5-0 lead in the first inning, largely due to Devin Lohman's grand slam to left-center off Andres Santiago, but the Lookouts rallied to take the lead behind C.J. Retherford's two-run home run in the fourth inning, J.T. Wise's two-run homer in the fifth and Yasiel Puig's leadoff homer in the sixth.

The Lookouts led 9-7 with one out in the bottom of the ninth when Ryan LaMaure and Travis Mattair hit consecutive homers to left off Yimi Garcia to send the game into extra innings.

Puig was 3-for-4, Retherford was 3-for-6 and each scored twice along with the Lookouts' Smith. Pensacola's Smith was 3-for-7 and Mattair scored four times.

Game four of the five-game series is tonight at 8 EDT. Rob Rasmussen (2-2, 3.13 ERA) is the scheduled starting pitcher for the Lookouts, with Josh Smith (3-3, 4.28) scheduled for the Blue Wahoos.
