Before Thursday's start to Chattanooga's five-game series against Birmingham at AT&T Field, Lookouts outfielder Bobby Coyle asked team officials to be referred to as Bobby Coyle Jr.

He's been a .500 hitter ever since.

The suffix-adding Coyle has torched the Barons on 7-of-14 hitting with three doubles, two home runs and five RBIs. He doubled to center field in the third inning Sunday and scored on Scott Schebler's home run to right-center as Chattanooga took a 2-0 lead, and Schebler's second two-run homer in the 11th propelled the Lookouts to a 4-3 win.

Chattanooga clinched the series with a game to spare, improving to 17-25 in the Southern League's second half and pulling within 4.5 games of the Barons (22-21). Lookouts starting pitcher Chris Reed had an excellent showing Sunday, allowing one run on five hits in seven innings.
