Chattanooga Lookouts win sixth in a row, 8-2

MONTGOMERY, Ala. - The Chattanooga Lookouts' strongest stretch of the season continued Thursday night with an 8-2 win over the Montgomery Biscuits.

Daniel Mayora went 4-for-5 in a sixth straight victory for the Lookouts, who improved to 20-25 in the second half of the Southern League season.

Chattanooga took a 1-0 lead in the second inning on Walter Ibarra's single to right that scored Corey Seager and made it 5-0 in the third on a Mayora RBI single to center, a Seager RBI double to right and a two-run single to left by Alex Liddi.

Game three of the five-game series is tonight at 8:05 EDT. Matt Shelton (3-3, 4.59 ERA) is scheduled to start on the mound for the Lookouts, with Albert Suarez (3-2, 3.18) scheduled for the Biscuits.

• The Los Angeles Dodgers promoted Lookouts starting pitcher Chris Reed to Triple-A Albuquerque. Reed was 4-8 with a 3.22 earned run average in 23 starts with Chattanooga.
