Chattanooga Lookouts logoRyan Court and Nate Samson drove in runs in the bottom of the eighth inning to propel Mobile to a 4-3 victory over the Chattanooga Lookouts in the Southern League series opener.
The Lookouts (10-16) scored three runs in the seventh inning to take a 3-1 lead, getting a triple to center by Alex Liddi that scored O'Koyea Dickson and Chris O'Brien and a double to right by Darnell Sweeney that scored Liddi.
Sweeney went 3-for-4 to raise his average to .311.
Game two of a five-game series in Mobile is tonight at 8:05 EDT.
Matt Shelton (2-2, 4.40) is scheduled to start for the Lookouts, with Bradin Hagens (7-4, 4.10) scheduled for the BayBears.
