Chattanooga relief pitcher Mike Thomas walked Marquez Smith with the bases loaded in the 11th inning as Pensacola prevailed 3-2 to halt a three-game winning streak by the Lookouts.
Thomas walked three batters in the 11th after allowing an infield hit by Seth Mejias-Brean. The Lookouts (4-4) had a chance to pull even later in the 11th when Casio Grider reached second on a one-out fielding error, but the next two batters grounded out.
Thursday night's game at AT&T Field had an announced crowd of 2,360.
Darnell Sweeney's double to right field in the fifth inning scored Grider to tie the game at 1 for Chattanooga, and Angel Sanchez's single to left in the sixth scored O'Koyea Dickson for another tie at 2.
Andres Santiago (1-4, 5.60 ERA) is scheduled to start tonight's 7:15 game for the Lookouts, with Robert Stephenson (3-5, 3.97) scheduled for Pensacola.
