Baxendale, Lookouts blank Biscuits

D.J. Baxendale gave Chattanooga another quality start early in the Southern League baseball season Sunday, pitching 6 1/3 scoreless innings as the Lookouts won 6-0 at Montgomery and clinched the opening series.

It was the third consecutive victory for Chattanooga (3-1).

The game was tied until the top of the seventh inning, when Travis Harrison's single to center field scored Miguel Sano and Dalton Hicks. Harrison scored on a Stuart Turner sacrifice fly, and the Lookouts added three runs in the ninth.

The finale of the five-game series in Montgomery is this morning at 11:35 EDT.
