The Mississippi Braves beat the visiting Chattanooga Lookouts for the fourth straight time Thursday night, 5-2.
The Braves collected three runs off three hits and two walks in the seventh inning at the expense of Chattanooga relief pitcher Cole Johnson, turning a 2-2 tie into a three-run victory.
The Lookouts, who have slipped to 6-7 after a 5-1 start, trailed 2-0 entering the sixth inning but pulled within 2-1 on a Dalton Hicks single to center field that scored Levi Michael. They tied it in the seventh on a home run to right-center by Mike Gonzales, his first of the season.
Game five of the five-game series in Mississippi is tonight at 8 EDT. D.J. Baxendale (2-0, 0.00 ERA) is scheduled to start on the mound for the Lookouts, while the Braves will make a game-day decision.
